At Centre for Learning, we have an open library both in concept and reality. This means that there is free and open access to all material and resources, at all times of day and night, and throughout the year. Mutual trust and shared responsibility provide the ground from which this library functions. The rules and conventions of library interaction evolve out of a sense of co-operation, consideration and care for the community as a whole. We have set up a website specifically to talk about The Open Library.
This website/blog is open to all those who love books and reading. We hope it will be read by librarians, teachers, parents, grandparents, children and children’s writers and finally by book publishers too! Please contribute and comment to make this a lively site. Send in interesting book titles, websites, contacts, library anecdotes, and anything else related to reading!
