CFL’s Approach to Admissions
CFL is a cooperative endeavour. We look forward to engaging with parents who are keen to learn about the educational philosophy the school, are open-minded about the dialogue process, and are willing to ask questions of their own lives. Parents and students cannot become passive consumers! We would like parents to partner us in the process of education of the children, and be actively involved in a meaningful working together. A genuine interest in inquiry, and a sustained commitment to explore questions relating to human nature and the world around us is central to CFL’s work. We therefore request only interested parents to apply for admissions.
In going through the process of admissions, we hope that it will become clear to parents if CFL education is what one is looking for. From our side, we do our best to communicate the core work of the school and the educational philosophy as clearly as possible. It is important in this process that parents speak freely, question us and share their views as candidly as possible.
As we are a small school, we can offer very few spaces to children each year. The ability to pay the full cost of a child’s education is not a criterion for admission; we would like to support parents who are serious about this kind of education.
For admissions for the academic year 2019-20, we have spaces for children whose dates of birth fall in the following range:
June 1 2008 to May 31 2011
We regret that we are unable to consider applications in any other age group.
If your child’s date of birth falls in the above range and you are a resident of Bangalore, please write to firstname.lastname@example.org, with the date of birth stated clearly. We will then take you through the process of application.
